Madaba Archaeological Sites

Al-Qasr Al-Muhtariq (The Burnt Palace):

Located to the south of the "Map Church", the site was named “The Burnt Palace” due to the presence of a layer of ash on its floor, dated back to the Roman and Byzantine periods. The most significant archaeological features include a mosaic floor, an image of the goddess of victory Tyche, and the Church of the Martyrs (Church of Al-Khidr), which is the largest church in the city of Madaba in terms of area.
