Located in the city of Madaba, the Burnt Palace was named due to a layer of ash covering its floor. It dates back to the Roman and Byzantine periods.

One of the most significant archaeological landmarks at this site is the Church of the Martyrs (Church of Al-Khidr), which is the largest church in Madaba. It is distinguished by its unique mosaic floors.
